Re: BULLETIN: TORNADO WARNING ISSUED FOR PARTS OF OKLAHOMA

by Theresa, Monday, March 21, 2005, 17:46 @ Consular

Yes - the two big stories on right now.

The Tornado Warning (not unusual in this part of country) It is south of me here in Tulsa, it is in Okmulgee county about 45 minutes away.

And the explosion - local news reports most of fire is out now.
There is a Goodwill store right across the street from the refinery that was shaken pretty good and closed. No reports of injuries although there has been one auto accident that may have been related - it happened at the same time as the blast in the same area. It was a pretty loud explosion because I am miles away and it shook my windows - but now the refinery official are saying "no damage" -

Well - that is a miracle if so because it was a MAJOR boom - I can't imagine what the people at the Goodwill store felt! Whew
