DRAMATIC INCREASE IN EARTH WOBBLE CHARTED TONIGHT!

by CliffMickelson, Saturday, February 19, 2005, 07:01

Greetings everyone:

As many know, I have been keeping track of Polaris for some time now.

The last few weeks have been rather uneventful, with little or no anomalous movement to report.

However, it appears that things are now back to "abnormal."

I charted very heavy earth wobble tonight. At 11 PM the scope that I have permanently sighted in on Polaris, held the North star dead center on the cross hairs.

However by 3:30 this morning the erstwhile rock solid star had wandered to the Northwest so far that it was nearly off the edge of the scope itself!

This is the first time in about 5 weeks now that such a movement has been documented. Prior to and for several weeks after the great December 2004 Tsunami, there was also very noticible wobble charted via the behavior of Polaris.

I estimate that tonight, the star took at least a 2 degree hike, (relative to it's normal position) within the stated period of time. (4 hours) This kind of erratic behavior has got to be throwing navigators somewhere off beat somehow!

Seems like pretty serious stuff to me!

I'm sure glad Christopher Columbus didn't try to discover America in 2004! He'd have probably discovered Portugal instead! LOL!
