Rush is partly right on this. I've lived through a number of hurricanes, but I've never experienced the amount of hype associated with this one. Governments, while they need to be cautious, have greatly over played their hand. They've put close to a million people on the road to nowhere. These people have no idea where they are going and what they will do when they get there. They are just running way in a sheer panic.

The storm which was hyped to track up the state's east coast and into coastal Georgia is now tracking up the west coast, into central Georgia, and on into Atlanta. Places that have not even been mentioned in all of this. I'd be surprised if people in places like Bradenton, Clearwater, and the like are all that prepared. Just how likely are they to get out, and where are they going to go if they do.

Rush can be over the top on occasion and his comment about hyping the storm to sell stuff looks like one of them. Over all though the fear porn is wearing a little thin.

I do not feel obligated to believe that the same God who endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use. (Galileo Galilei)
