At the very end of Berlin Station's last episode, Daniel Miller delivers the last 'Thomas Shaw' insider message to the German press reporter. He gives a brief explanation for his actions and then gives advice. I can't quote exactly, but can give the essential point.

We are all complicit in government crimes because we do nothing about them. It is good to expose these crimes so people know the facts and how the government operates. But, just giving out information is not enough because governments are not moved by shame. It is necessary to get your hands in there and actually have an effect for change to happen.

Many years ago, a man I knew had a great phrase for reading and talking about things but not taking action; it was 'mental masturbation'. Would the USA exist if all the founding fathers ever did was write pamphlets, hold discussions and write letters to parliament? Give this some thought.
