The Whole POINT of the Internet of Things Is So Big Brother Can Spy On You (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)

by LurkyLou @, Friday, March 17, 2017, 20:28 @ Theresa

YES, soon you won't be able to buy much that DOES NOT spy on you.
Look at kids' toys even today that report back on the kids' activities and how they get intertwined with these toys.
It will be 10X worse than what you TV and Cell Phones are doing to you.

And, if everything is spying on you there isn't enough time in your life to try and hack into each device to turn off all of the garbage installed on each device.

Best bet - don't buy new, buy the old used products that don't want to take over your lives.

Also, more and more people are now buying used cars because of all the electronic gadgets installed and when they go belly up the bills are hundreds of dollars for repairs. For instance, my disc brakes control module died and the price, even for a used module is $500 and probably another $300 to install it. Actually my brakes work just fine. But, what if you window motors die out and need replaced - because there is no handle to roll the window up or down. Newer cars also have a remotely accessible "shut down" module and/or software. And, if you buy a model with an installed GPS/Phone system you are probably tracked where ever you go - constantly.

Welcome to the world of "1984", huh - just a few years late!
