I did not know this either, and it IS amazing that the event never became a genuine part of history, as it should have, considering who the lady was. I would suggest that this is because it was a Black on Black crime. Had a white assailant committed the murder, each and every one of us would have it stored in our memories. But sadly, the people who control what we know about, now as well as back in 1974, would not have found this event useful for their purposes - one means to an end regarding those purposes being: Divide the common people, that they war against one another and not against "us." -R
