EDITING MAJIC. (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)

by gimp @, OZ. STH. CORAL SEA., Saturday, February 07, 2015, 05:15 @ Theresa

When making a small movie or even a large one the first thing done is to create the landscape and the second is to get your players captured in their landscape so the viewer has a sense of geography. It's known of as the Master shot and as the camera goes in for 'coverage' the editors job begins. The greatest of film makers made the job of editors somewhat redundant by capturing the scene in one shot. To the modern audience any thing Not cut is boring.

Anyway keeping the above in mind.. In the 1.40 on set video I put up, notice that from the call to 'Action' and the completion of the scene took some 39 seconds..... ONE shot ONE TAKE.

Now in the Vid your very good self put up Theresa runs for 1.30 and starts it's 'burning' at 0.58 which ends at 130 ... or 32 seconds BUT .. the big But is... I counted at least 8 cuts in that production. Time enough to get a new stuntman in the cage or even a wax effigy in for take whatever. Slick production .. but production none the less.

Still I think it convincing enough for the masses whom have no idea there are 24 frames in a second that can trick the mind getting you to vote for another Jehad or something similar. ;)
