Thank you pravdaseeker for giving your take on the situation, and sharing how you yourself endeavour not to contribute to the problem.

I think I may have posted something very similar to this (if not the same thing?) a few years before?

As you intimated: the referred cartoon is obviously a caricature pertaining to the net effect > impact of humanity on The Earth from a purely physical material perspective (where the symbolic man in the video represents a collective mindset >>> embodiment of those who have lived according to that maxim from the very beginning......and how they could be perceived by some on the outside looking in?).
Sorry if this implied distinction was somewhat lost either on you, or the many (here at STA, and elsewhere!) who try to live in harmony with everything & everybody!

Although (somewhat as you suggest) many people around the world do no live in this way: the impact of the ones who do adversely affects the planet in a huge way.....more than the planet has ever been able to absorb, and recover from before.
This is precisely why so many species are dying in ever growing numbers, and vital Organs of The Earth's flora, as well as tributary, and oceanic waters are suffering due to significant contamination.

Unfortunately there are simply not enough people on Earth who are living in harmony with Earth!
Whether the balance of power changes in favour of those who are remains to be seen.....but I'd like to think that with information technology, and the rate of awareness which is growing by the second (especially within the youngest generation!)......this prevalent attitude amongst humanity towards the planet as a commodity (to be exploited to the nth degree!) could soon become erased from the consciousness of human civilization???

Perhaps in future I should try not to make my humour so wry & dry?
