I read something a couple of weeks ago on the dangers of fluoride in toothpaste. It's message was that if you brush your teeth with a fluoride toothpaste you cannot help but swallow some minor bit of that even when rinsing your teeth. And, that that little bit is enough to harm you.

Oh! Also, look into your mirror tomorrow when you're brushing your teeth with that "fluoride enhanced" super duper toothpaste you just bought!

Good job with your dentist. Most of them are brick walls about negative fluoride information. Their conditioning is deep.
