HOW FACEBOOK KILLED THE INTERNET (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)
I could not get the article to load; it just waited and waited.
I understand what I read here, and it makes sense. Perhaps that is why STA is where it is. After all, Facebook is free and EVERYBODY reads it. I admit that I share stories, finds and happenings on Facebook that I don't post here. But, on the other hand, I post things here that I would not FB. I have posted political and current events topics on FB and discovered only two friends were reading those. Two friends told me they avoid posts with those topics because they don't want to see negative material.
One cannot swim against the stream of such a massive societal trend. That is why I only do Facebook and avoid all other online distractions. As it is, I still end up being online for two hours a day. Some days that is way too much as there are more important activities I need to do. I keep telling myself to back off and only do the online when I need to sit and take a break. It is so captivating that that is difficult for me to do.
Who knows where all this will lead?
