Here is the link I promised to Dr. Exley's review article published recently Oct. 2014. It is short but fairly technical and there are many references to expand one's knowledge on the topic. I am hoping for another reply from him to an email I sent last night. The potential for harm from aluminum seems to be extensive and little funding is available to do the necessary research.

One thing you will see in the article is that silicon symbol Si in the form of free silicic acid given in low concentration in water can increase the excretion of aluminum in the urine. Funding was not available to determine if any of the aluminum came from the brain, but some of the dementia patients did show cognitive improvement! There are some products available that are silicon supplements, but I am not sure if they are in the right chemical form to induce aluminum excretion.

I am not sure if Exley makes the connection that fluoride and aluminum are co-toxins that may enhance each other's effects. We'll see what he has to say.
