Hi Guys,

I honestly think this is a multi level problem, of which computers play a huge role, or at least computers and mobile telephones.

Firstly, a few years ago, I was sharing a house with a young man, his girlfriend used to come around occasionally, whenever she was waiting for him she would sit on the lounge suit, texting, not interacting at all. Then she would go out with him, and later, send me a message on skype asking me how I was and what had I been doing?!!!!

She lacked the capacity for face to face interaction.

It is so much easier to talk to someone on a computer or phone, where you can hang up, or do not have to face the concept of becoming embarrassed.

Like I said this problem has multiple aspects to it, many of which cannot be reached at the level we are at socially.

It is really sad, as we live in a society that is totally brainwashed into thinking that having a relationship is our only true calling in life, but when you come down to it, we are presented with imagery of the perfect partners, yet very few can make the grade, and the ones that do are simply obsessed in their self and self image so much that they will be impossible of have a relationship with, as they spend their entire resources on ensuring they are attractive to the opposite sex and seriously are not interested in interacting on any other level.

I dont know where our society goes with this, I was travelling down the road one day and came across a local fair, there was hordes of young girls headed towards the fair, they are all dressed provocatively, low cut tops, high cut shorts, partially exposing body parts, and the thought I had, was it must be impossible of the young male count parts to deal with this. You can look but no touch.

It is like someone placing in-front of you the most delicious meal imaginable then saying you are not allowed to eat it.

It really is a sad state of affairs we have got ourselves into, I have to agree with the guy that presented that video, in that it is far safer for guys and women alike to just play in this virtual world, rather than be faced with the consequences of doing something real then been accused of something and it having reverberating effects for your entire life.

Having said all of this, I guess its all part of the bigger picture, there are so many areas that I look at in our society where i shrug my shoulders and thing, there is little or no hope.
