PLEASE READ AND HELP (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)

As most of you know by now, Surfing The Apocalypse is reader supported.

It is also my only form of income. I have been doing it now for 15 years since 1999.

I have not been posting much lately due to physical problems that I am having.

In March I fell and broke my shoulder, I had to wear a restraining device for several months and have had to try to rehabilitate the use of my arm.

But there is a deeper problem happening.

The reason I broke my shoulder is because I fell backwards. Since then, this has become a regular thing. I will be walking or standing and out of nowhere I fall HARD backwards. A bad one happened again last month and I fell backwards in the bathroom, I hit my head hard and broke my foot - tearing out the big toenail.
I am still in much pain with the broken foot.

I cannot walk right now due to this falling problem. I am using a walker but don't think it would stop me if the backward falling happens. So, I have pretty much been confined to my bed. I don't have the money or insurance to go to a specialist and have the tests needed to find out what is happening with me, so I am trying to weather through it. It is hard and very depressing.

So, this year has pretty much been a battle for my health. So much so that I have been unable to post much due to the arm rehabilitation and other physical problems.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you why I have been absent from posting but I am here reading all of the time.

I need your help to pay the bills here.
