VITAMIN K DEFICIENCY--IS THERE SOMETHING GOIMG AROUND THAT CAUSES INTERNAL BLEEDING? (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)

by pragnos @, Saturday, November 22, 2014, 23:03 @ chazzz

Chazz;

Our elderly are likely to develop many nutrient deficiencies and one of them is the Vitamin K that is essential for platelets to clot properly. In your dad's case, long use of blood thinners can certainly lead to bleeding internally. Does he bruise easily having those big purple patches on arms and legs? You can look up on PubMed and other sites details on proper blood tests and supplements. Preferred supplements will have at least both K1 and K2 versions. There are food sources you can look up as well. Your dad's weak heart could benefit from Co-enzymeQ10 like Jarrow's 200mg Ubiquinol (not ubiquinone) super absorbable formula. They could even be deficient in vitamin C and bioflavonoids as well as B family especially B-12.

Hope your parents can heal soon! --pragnos
