CLOSING DOWN THE GARDEN (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)
Well, I figured I should get my produce either up off the ground or out of the ground before the freezing starts. On the items in the photos I did pretty good on the output, although my tomato patch took a beating from a one-night 11 inch rain. I was in gum boots in 6 inches of flood water picking those that were ripe.
The onions are in a 1/2 bushel basket and I had already picked several for other meals. The carrots are laid out in about a 7 foot strip for a couple of days. The sweet potatoes didn't produce like I thought they would, but they were growing in some very hard clay soil.
Now to find something to store the produce in and a place to keep it.
Enjoy the pics.
