NEW YORK CITY — A man by the name of Dr. Craig Spencer, who recently traveled from West Africa and Europe, was placed into isolation Thursday at Bellevue Hospital, inside the infectious disease ward, after officials were alerted that he may potentially be infected with the deadly Ebola virus which has already claimed at least one life in America.
Doctors and CDC officials are now awaiting test results to actually determine if the man is infected or not. But according to the New York Times a team of “disease detectives” are going around rounding up people whom Spencer may have made contact with. Reports also indicate that officials have been reluctant to release the number of people who may have potentially came in contact with Spencer, and likely for good reason.
