How this drivel gets around the internet is beyond me. Critical thinking seems to have left the building. Israel's big media translation company is MEMRI. They are the ones who twisted Ahmadinejad's speech into the lurid "wipe the jews from the face of the earth" ...or some such nonsense. It looks like they had a hand in this translation too, unless the whole thing is entirely made up. Putin is far too circumspect to make a comment like this in public.
