Here we go again
WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to reports, Gen. Martin Dempsey, the nation’s top military chief, advised top brass in a briefing Friday, pointing out how we need a “ground component” in the campaign against ISIS, calling for “12,000 to 15,000″ combat troops to be placed in and around Syria to fight an estimated 30,000 militant insurgents.
Moreover, President Obama claims that U.S. troops will not be deployed onto the ground in Syria, reiterating the matter several times during his latest speech.
However, this all follows lockstep with previous campaigns which have seemingly never ended. And yes, we all know where it’s headed from here.
