3 REVEALING NEWS STORIES THAT TELL A LOT ABOUT CURRENT AFFAIRS (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)

The first of 3 news stories I want STA readers to be aware of is below.

Many of you have probably heard or read some of Paul Craig Roberts news articles.

A recent article of his titled, "Will Russia and China Hold Their Fire Until War Is the Only Alternative?" has MANY uncomfortable truths within it.

SNIP Obama’s September 24 speech at the UN is the most absurd thing I have heard in my entire life. It is absolutely amazing that the president of the United States would stand before the entire world and tell us what everyone knows are blatant lies while simultaneously demonstrating Washington’s double standards and belief that Washington alone, because the US is exceptional and indispensable, has the right to violate all laws. END SNIP

Until Americans and news media outlets tell the WHOLE truth, and not just bits and pieces; and the citizens are given ALL of the facts of a situation, there will never be proper and correct foreign policy decisions made.

What Mr. Roberts brings forth in the article highlight MANY of the reasons the USA is seen as a pariah and not very much liked by many nations in the world. While it is disturbing to read, one can not deny the valid facts and viewpoints he presents.

I find the "alternative" at the end of the link a bit humorous. I suppose the alternative is TRUTH, and not the "party line".

In a New York Post article, we see where another corruption story is about to hit Wall Street.

Titled, " Tapes showing meek oversight of Goldman are About to rock Wall Street."

SNIP Wall Street is about to be rocked by secretly recorded audio tapes that purport to show a too-cozy relationship between the New York Federal Reserve Bank and the financial institutions it is supposed to regulate.
The 45 hours of tapes, made by Carmen Segarra, a former NY Fed worker, capture former co-workers, whose job was to keep banks like Goldman Sachs in line, instead deferring to the banks, being unwilling to take action and being extremely passive, according to public radio’s “This American Life,” and ProPublica which obtained the tapes and is scheduled to air a program about the matter Friday night.
Segarra, ironically, was hired by the NY Fed in October 2011 to help toughen up their oversight. She was fired in 2013 after, she claims in a lawsuit, she tried to get Goldman to toe the line on regulations. END SNIP

The article brings to light a lot of what many writers have claimed about the too big to fail banks. Once again corruption is the root of this story, and of course, breaking laws.

When reading this article think of the "petro-dollar", and America's stated goals of preserving the wests empire by many in Washington DC. Paul Wolfowitz comes to mind, for me.

SNIP Russia, viewed by the Obama administration as hostile to U.S. interests, has discovered what may prove to be a vast pool of oil in one of the world’s most remote places with the help of America’s largest energy company.

Russia’s state-run OAO Rosneft (ROSN) said a well drilled in the Kara Sea region of the Arctic Ocean with Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) struck oil, showing the region has the potential to become one of the world’s most important crude-producing areas.

The announcement was made by Igor Sechin, Rosneft’s chief executive officer, who spent two days sailing on a Russian research ship to the drilling rig where the find was unveiled today. The well found about 1 billion barrels of oil and similar geology nearby means the surrounding area may hold more than the U.S. part of the Gulf or Mexico, he said.

“It exceeded our expectations,” Sechin said in an interview. This discovery is of “exceptional significance in showing the presence of hydrocarbons in the Arctic.”

They named the new discovery "VICTORY".. hmmm. Do you find this name a bit cryptic, and possibly holding a dual meaning?

Does Russia consider this discovery a "victory" over the wests empire protection plans? Does it mean that Russia holds the winning hand in whether or not the petro-dollar lives on, or dies a pitiful death? And with it, the end of global hegemony by the west?

I tell you all dear readers that much more drives our world than some beheadings and a rag tag group of extremists of a particular faith.

Read up on P.N.A.C., "Project for a New American Century", who ran it, and their goals. It is NOW disbanded, but only because its goals were all achieved.

These 3 articles actually are tied together, in the BIG scheme of things.
