I CAN HEAR THE DRUMS AGAIN. (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)

As a member of the local library and not working at present I spend many hours reading historical novels from the rise and fall of Rome to the advent of our modern era and what I find blows my mind, in that; There is not one decade or generation in the past two thousand years that has not experienced a War either near or far.

In my sixty years I can count them on my digits. The blood lust of mankind is astonishing and our propensity to inflict damage to our fellow man is beyond explanation but the reality is; We have never failed to raise our swords against some 'barbarian' 'evil' enemy and sadly nothing is seemed to have changed.

More sadly still; Something will need to change for the next "Great" War will be our last if we continue to tempt a Nuclear Conflagration; After which, the Cockroach will rule as King.

And all the King's horses and all the King's men will ride upon a realm of blackened dust.

What fools we are! Instead of treating for peace, we drum once again for War!
