SOME PATIENTS 'WAKE UP' DURING SURGERY (STA BREAKING NEWS and ARCHIVES)

My father was awake during heart surgery - He couldn't move or feel anything but he heard what the surgeon said. Later he told the surgeon that he should be careful of what he said in the operating room as he could hear it - The surgeon didn't believe it until Dad quoted him.

I came to during a colonoscopy - I felt the pain in my gut and I moaned.

When I had an endoscopic throat procedure, I didn't go out until they took the damm thing out of my throat and it was all over. It was a trip to hell!

I always let the anesthesiologist know that I am hard to put under.
