What you describe sounds so much like the OCF... this one has been going on since about 1973 or so.. There is a permanent "village" so to speak, that comes alive each July... usually the second week in July.. People come from all over the world to participate.. we have had Buddhist monks, Peruvian mucicians, and on and on... it is an old "hippie" family of artists, crafters, and entertainers... not to mention the great food.. arghh..,.
Here is a bit of an example of what goes on there... lol
