NOT ANGRY - CONFUSED, BEFUDDLED AND DISCOURAGED

Thanks for your sincere sentiments.....

It's really hard - and I dread it - when I have to 'beg'.....

There are a handful of very faithful people who help out each and every month and that's it. In fact there are some who donate several times. Bless you all!

Today - I put up a Urgent post detailing that payments are bouncing - ONE person responded to the post and that person has already donated SEVERAL times this month! The main server payment is almost a month overdue.

I don't get it either - and it's so discouraging and yes scary.

This is our 13th year online - there are over 200,000 posts in the archives here - I am here faithfully every day working on one thing or another. I have been offering (what I think are) interesting, useful and beneficial downloads as an added feature for people who want something extra for the $5 or $10 - yet there are few takers.

This past month I got hit really hard because the sample supply of insulin that I was receiving from my doctor ran out - I have had to find a way to buy insulin - the insulin is $120 per small vial - it takes over 3 vials per month. That is almost as much as the mortgage payment here! I have had to borrow money to pay for the insulin! I am currently working on getting a deal with the company that makes the insulin to help me, but it takes time. This was a huge setback financially - but what do you do? You have to have the insulin or you will die! I am in trouble.

I don't understand - I am not asking for charity here. I offer a service with this site - that service is free to use - but I have what I call an "honor system" where - I ask that if you use it - and are able - that you drop a tip in the tip jar (chip in or snail mail). I WANT to offer something of value in exchange for the donations - I DON'T want anything for free from the readers.

People get almost as sick of seeing me asking for donations as I do of having to ask. If I knew what to do to change this, I would. People offer suggestions - I implement the ones that I can and nothing seems to work.

Oh well - I didn't mean to unload - but I have always tried my best to be truthful and this is the truth of the situation at this time.

Hanging on by a thread but I'm still here - hanging on.
