YOU ARE RIGHT, HOWEVER...

by lamamaba @, Saturday, May 19, 2012, 15:25 @ Jiggs

Just a couple of examples of seeing "karma" at work in my own life... and I am going out on a limb here..

I was working for Performing Arts center and we had an outside event at a park... I was working the lost and found shed and we were supposed to return all the items returned as lost to the main Center.. someone turned in a pair of binoculars... and foolishly I decided to keep them, stealing them as it were.
Two days later my bike was stolen, and then to top it off my daughter's and her husband's bikes were stolen as well... Things come in threes...

And then one day at a store I paid for my purcheses and left and as I was about to leave, packing up my stuff, I noticed that an eye-glasses holder.. you know, the ones so you can keep them around your neck, hadn't been checked out since it was in the bottom of the cart. I thought... oh heck.. I will reimburse them later.... when I got home I discovered that an item that cost the same amount as the holder was missing.... and so I just said to myself.. heh. Yep

I have discovered that I cannot lie, cheat or steal without consequences. It just doesn't work for me. I know others can get away with it, but not me. And I know that T has the same issues. We have spoken about it often.

So I just feel that there is some cosmic principle at work here that has nothing whatsoever to do with religion. Karma is indeed a loaded word.. it has so many interpretations and misconceptions...

I am not a religious person... in terms of organized religion... I do feel there is a higher power that cannot and will not be put in a box.

So I understand completely your feelings... you are quite right...
