3D PRINTERS GO WILD

In today's Peoplenomics report, George Ure covers the on-our-doorstep 3rd wave of the digital revolution which will delete 4 out of 5 manufacturing jobs worldwide within the next decade or so. You may be aware of 3D printers, but I did not know that this technology is advanced enough already that they can print DNA matched human skin from your own cells. BIOPRINTER

His comments included how metal printers can make much more complicated parts that cannot be made by either casting or machining. Plastics is surely the first industry that will be affected by this changeover from humans to machines. The concept is that all production people will be eliminated. Thus, the only employment opportunities will be as a 3D designer/modeler or printer repairman. The huge practical and philosophical question is what will we do with all the unneeded people? Maybe this is why the overlords are determined to reduce the planet's population to 500 million. They simply won't need us.
