DAVID ICKE LAST NIGHT ON MAUI

by Pentalpha @, Sunday, April 01, 2012, 15:58

My husband and I went to the day long David Icke speaking engagement at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center last night. Ive been reading his works and following his video lectures for 2 decades, although I never saw him in person.

It was very good and quite a few folks showed up even though there were some negative articles written in the newspapers beforehand. Half way through the event a heckler went nuts. Mr. Icke offered him the stage during the break if he would patiently wait until that time and told the audience they could stay and hear his side. The man still would not cease calling Icke anti semantic. (which by the way we found ridiculous, as his message was on how all of us our repressed not just some of us.) The man, angrier now, eventually attempts to jump on stage and attack Icke, while a few frail ushers do a poor job to contain him. A few strong men from the audience finally grabbed him before attacking Icke. Even then, Icke said he could stay if he would behave but the crew took him out.

Twelve hours of speaking is a long time and we got a lot out of it. The best part for me was
the importance of taming our emotions of anger, depression and self-importance, as these are the greatest qualities "they" feed on. As many of us at this time have suffered great financial stresses, the ability to not let the emotional strain overwhelm us and enslave us can be challenging. My husband and I both felt liberated and greatly less attached to our personal financial "dramas" when we left. If we learn one thing only from a lecture we should have gratitude. I picked up quite a bit of wisdom to continue removing unhealthy egoic patterns in my personal life...much gratitude!

Much aloha, Kathryn (formerly known as 4elements)
